Affordable & Quality Italian Lunch @ Zafferano

Wednesday was a special day and we wanted to eat something nice for lunch to celebrate the occasion. We heard about this good Italian restaurant (Michelin Guide 2017) located in the CBD area and we decided to try it out. Located about 5 min walk from Raffles Place MRT station, Zafferano is definitely convenient to reach. It is located at 43rd level of Ocean Financial Centre.

Zafferano has a great interior design and it gives a very nice ambiance for dining. We ordered the 3 course lunch set menu which starts at $52++.

Appetizer

Cold cut veal loin, with tuna sauce & capers. Great cold starter with rocket leaves to kick start the meal.

Baby lobster bisque, scented with orange and dill (+$10). Delicious and addictive lobster soup. It comes with lobster bits too.

Main Course

Pan-fried Australian lamb chop with rosemary potato (+$16). Very juicy and tender lamb chops with sweet sauce. Definitely one of the most tender lamb chops I have eaten. Highly Recommended!

Oven-baked Atlastic cod, with seasonal vegetables 'guazetto' style (+$16). Fresh cod just cooked perfectly. Each slices just disintegrate off the beautiful pan fry fish.

Dessert

Italian cheese selection 'Guffanti' assorted jam, fruit bread (+$10). A wide variety of cheese with delicious bread biscuits.

Passion fruit and mango semifreddo strawberry coulis. Refreshing mango puree dessert to cleanse your palette.

Special birthday chocolate cake with yuzu cream, on the house!

Overall we find dining at Zafferano a very satisfying experience. We would definitely come back to try out their other mains!

PS: On a side note, Zafferano has a bar with outdoor seating for everyone to bring their friends along for chilling and drinks.
