Pork Ribs and Beef Burgers!

Dallas is a restaurant and bar with outlets at Suntec City and Boat Quay. They serve delicacies from America and wines from Australia and New Zealand.

We visited the Suntec City outlet on National Day Holiday to have our dinner as we wanted to be near the fireworks area, which are at the Indoor Stadium.

Located at the Sky Garden Towers One & Five, this outlet has its own private space and a spectacular view of the city. Dallas offers 2- and 3-course set meals for dinner and also ala carte selection as well. As the course set is not too expensive (2-course @$28++, 3-course @ $36++), we decided to go with it.

First up is the soup of the day. Pretty standard and appetizing vegetable soup and a slice of garlic bread to start the course.

For the main course, one of us ordered the Baby back berry or fiery ribs ($30++ if ala carte). A slowly braised pork ribs served with red cabbage slaw and potato wedges. Visually, looks kind of scary with the huge rack of blackness, however taste-wise, it is quite decent. Pork ribs are very tasty and tender to the core. Potato wedges are pretty addictive as well.

The other main course is the Southern burger ($23++ if ala carte), which is Black Angus beef patty with lettuce, tomato, cheese, bacon, BBQ sauce and relish. It comes with coleslaw and fries as well. Good news for meat-lovers, the portion of the beef patty is huge, similar what you can find in America.

Lastly for desserts we had some cakes, Warm Chocolate Brownie ($12++ if ala carte) and Peanut Cake.

Dallas is a casual restaurant for some decent American food. It has bar with a nice environment if you are looking for drinks and chill. With expats and tourists around, you would probably feel that you are overseas as well. Do give Dallas a try if you are in the area!
