Introducing the Tengawa Hokkaido White Curry.
I came across this in a post online and notice how unique it was for curry to be white in color. Interested, I headed down to Millenia Walk to try out the new Japanese Hokkaido White Curry.
Located at the second floor of Millenia Walk, Tengawa's storefront reminds you of a traditional Japanese store with its wooden appearance and curtains.
As expected, the layout of the store has a Japanese-style with counter and table seating are available. The small space gives the place a cozy ambiance.
There are only three items on the menu:
Premium Ebi Fry ($16.80)
Juicy Japanese Style Hamburg ($15.80)
Crunchy Chicken Katsu ($15.80)
All set comes with Truffle Chawamushi, Miso Soup and free flow pickles. There is no a la carte menu. When we arrived, there was a short queue outside the store. One of the workers told us to wait for 15 minutes for the next batch of rice to be ready. This is to ensure that the rice are cooked optimally.

Not your regular Chawamushi. This one has truffle in it and it tastes magical! It's about time someone discover this combination.
SET A: Premium Ebi Fry
3 huge pieces of Tempura served with rice, white curry, potato, carrot, broccoli and cherry tomato. White Curry doesn't taste the same as your regular curry. It is slightly thick (hokkaido milk) and sweet. The Shrimps are fresh and juicy as well. The portion is just right but you may add more rice/miso soup for free as request.
SET C: Crunchy Chicken Katsu
This set contains the same ingredients as the previous, with just one change: The Shrimps are swapped with a large fried chicken patty. With a chicken that tasty and tender, it is definitely one of my favorite Chicken Katsu.
If you like Japanese Curry and fried food, do head down to Tengawa to get your fixes. Even if you don't, the uniqueness and tastiness of the food served in this restaurant still makes it worth a while to try!
